About the Virtual Lewa Safari Marathon Challenge
The Lewa Safari Marathon was originally scheduled for Saturday 27th June, but in light of the global COVID19 pandemic has been cancelled.
As a result, the World’s Wildest Challenge has gone virtual. We’re asking supporters to run 5km, 10km, 21km or even 42km around your garden, beach or treadmill this June to help raise vital funds for a range of wildlife conservation projects, schools, clinics and community programmes across Kenya.
For this virtual challenge there is no stopwatch. There’s also no entry fee. All we ask is that entrants consider donating to the Lewa Safari Marathon or invite sponsorship for their efforts. Distances can be run over days or weeks, or you can take up the challenge to complete the full distance of your choice on 27 June 2020 when we’ll be live streaming efforts from the global community.
